@kerry_underwood Just realised the point I think you're making. When I said c.85% of firms have 4 partners or fewer, I wasn't just talking about partnerships but all firms - even those that are incorporated often still call their directors 'partners'
@kerry_underwood Show me evidence, not rhetoric. Yes, some ABSs have messed up but so have plenty of 'traditional' law firms (eg Axiom Ince). There is no evidence that non-lawyer ownership makes a difference. How much client money have non-lawyer owners of law firms stolen compared to lawyers?
@kerry_underwood I was also pushing back at your absurd suggestion that it's the one of the worst pieces of legislation on the statute book. Personally think it was the poor outcome of a compromise with the profession and could be much improved on (280 characters not enough) but it's not awful
@kerry_underwood I just don't buy this conspiracy type theory - remember that c.85% of law firms have four partners or fewer, so it's no surprise they appear a lot in SRA activity. I'm sure big firms are hard to regulate - no doubt they go hard at the SRA - but some have been done over the years
The Pope is right, of course, being infallible. You donโt see him tweeting about The Hundred or the IPL. Heโs a Test cricket purist, which is why he wears white. But his comments about the Ashes making us humble and smoothing narcissism didnโt apply to Kevin Pietersen
You can tell the journalist knows the difference between a man and a woman - despite the confused pronouns - because the man is the hero of the story and woman and girls he murdered and raped mere collateral
Oxford v Luton was a:
Top tier fixture in 1988
A 2nd tier fixture in 1994
A 3rd tier fixture in 1999
A 4th tier fixture in 2001
A Non-League fixture in 2009
A 4th tier fixture in 2015
A 3rd tier fixture in 2018
And now a 2nd tier fixture in 2025.

@LutonNews_LTFC Sadly, the spark has gone from this side - and the fight. In the last couple of seasons in this league we were strong and aggressive and never out-scrapped. Not the case anymore
In her speech today, Heidi Alexander said that by the time she left her post, โIโd like to do so having helped to make it cheaper, easier and more straightforward for [people] to access justice". As she's now been reshuffled to transport secretary, I fear she may have failed
@DeggyUK Not often I wish I hadn't made the trek but I did last night - the spark has just gone out of this team. They all look like they're running through treacle - really felt the failure to replace Ogbene's pace last night (and of course Barkley's creativity)
