I didn’t run for office just to make history. I ran because I want to make a difference for people. That’s what my family taught me and that’s why I’m running for Congress.

We are still reeling from the loss of Alcee Hastings. The @LGBTQdemsPBC put it best:
“He has long been a champion of LGBTQ+ rights, including his long support of marriage equality, his promotion of LGBTQ+ human rights overseas, and his tireless advocacy for the Equality Act.
Sending love, strength and solidarity to my friend, LGBTQ State Rep. @Cannonfor58 in Georgia who was ARRESTED last night for knocking on the Governor’s door as he signed a bill to strip constituents of their voting rights. She’s a state lawmaker! WTH is going on in America?
This story hit home for me. It brought me back to when I came out to my twin sister, who has been one of my strongest allies since that moment - just like @nikkifried was for her step brother. ❤️
Our first Rusty Gordon Day of Action will be on Saturday March 20th with Feeding South Florida. Send us a DM or like this post if you want to volunteer with us! https://t.co/XGNoMb100v
Trayvon Martin was killed 9 years ago today. He was shot for no reason other than being Black. He was 17. He should have been 26 this month.
We will never forget his name or the trauma his killing inflicted on a generation.
We honor Trayvon today and always.
