The seventh (7th) meeting(LGI Board of Directors) was officially opened this morning in Hargeisa city, which was analyzing and approving the rules governing the Institute. In addition to that, a report was heard from the management of the institute, led by the executive director.
The Republic of Somaliland's Home minister, accompanied by the Mayor of Hargeisa City, monitoring the new up coming Office of the Somaliland Local Government Institute (LGI).
The facility is expected to fully operate bye end of the year.
DDF Launching Event: The District Development Framework (DDF) is based on a five-years plan which clearly identifies the basic needs and priorities of districts.
The Mayors of Burco and Gabiley, @Abdirisaaq Hero and @Mohamed-Amin inspected the Local Governments Institute which is under construction in Hargeisa and is nearing completion, the Director of the Institute gave a brief report on the progress of the work .
