Today marks 24 years since Jewish American @WSJ journalist Daniel Pearl z”l was brutally murdered on camera after being kidnaped and tortured by Al Qaeda terrorists in Pakistan. His murderers filmed his execution and broadcast it to the world.

In his final words, Pearl proudly and defiantly declared his Jewish identity: "My father is Jewish. My mother is Jewish. I am Jewish."

The ADL Daniel Pearl Award was established two years later to honor his memory and commitment through his work to build cultural bridges and promote understanding.

May Daniel’s memory forever be a blessing.

@LIRR on the 4:41 Farmingdale train at Jamaica pulled in late&short. It’s an old train and there is no air in the front or rear car. It’s too crowded to get a seat in the other cars. When are you going to retire these trains? No direct trains from Brooklyn so we have to suffer.

@LIRR please add more trains from bethpage during rush hour to Brooklyn. The 7:00 no longer stops at Jamaica and the 7:06 is only 10 cars and pulls in packed. The train prior is 6:21, so there is a 45 minute gap of train access during rush hour.

@LIRR why is any Brooklyn train less than 10 cars? They are far and few of them. The 6:52 is only 6 cars. It is packed and standing room only.
