In yet another move towards brazen Hindi imposition, it is reported that Sansad TV of Parliament will now broadcast ONLY in Hindi.

This means that when us MPs speak in Parliament in English, Bangla, or any Indian language, you will NOT be able to hear our original voice.

Instead, you’ll hear a “voice-over” translating what we speak into Hindi.

This is an INSULT to every non-Hindi speaking Indian. Every Indian has the RIGHT to hear their representative in their own language.

In its effort to belittle & diminish Parliament, Modi Govt wants to impose Hindi on the temple of our democracy which is supposed to represent each & every Indian.

We are PROUD of our respective state languages & will NOT accept Hindi being imposed on us & our people.

I’ll be taking this up with the Hon’ble Chairman of the Rajya Sabha & will request him to direct Sansad TV to reverse this decision.
