Senator Jonathan Lindsey has a solid proposal for lowering utility costs that would result in immediate relief for Michigan families:

LANSING, MI | Senate Bills 986 and 987 would eliminate the sales tax on utilities like electricity and natural gas.

The senator said taking the government out of the equation will lower bills across the board.

“This is an equitable reform that benefits every single ratepayer in the state,” Lindsey said. “These bills will provide families with meaningful tax relief so they can prioritize what matters most to them and their children.”
