Recently, @LIRR installed jersey barriers on Borden Ave while they complete a project.
@NYC_DOT hope you’re studying this because there’s clearly enough room for a two-way protected #bikeNYC lane, parking on both sides of the street, and 2 travel lanes.

According to @HowsMyDrivingNY this vehicle has a total of 5 violations all of which were issued in the past 2 months.
3 of them for speeding.

Looks like someone was speeding, jumped the curb at Hunters Point South Park and hit the bike racks with enough speed to shatter 4 steel bike racks and bend a 5th, then proceeded a block on Center before either being stopped or abandoning the vehicle.

By Silver Star Auto, either someone moved it completely to the side after Police put it up or it was never put up.

5th St - Monday, May 18, 2020 #LongIslandCity. Barriers were not up at 49th Ave but up the rest of 5th Street.
Was this an oversight or was the #OpenStreetNYC cut short one block?
Also, “No Thru Traffic” signs should probably be much bigger.

This triangle formed by Hunter and Crescent Streets near CUNY Law is another potential #OpenStreet that could connect to proposed neighborhood improvements like #MoreSpaceQBB and #LICramps

It was a beautiful day, so we decided to check out the Court Square West #OpenStreet. It is just one block and
it didn’t require any NYPD resources.
It left us wondering - Why doesn’t the city do this on the adjacent blocks?

This short section of Thomson Ave between Jackson Ave and Court Square East is redundant with 44th Dr and could be turned into an #OpenStreet without interrupting any truck or bus routes. #PeopleFirstOnThomson
