🇬🇧ULEZ EXPANSION FAILS TO REDUCE POLLUTION

The expansion of London's Ultra-Low Emissions Zone to all of Greater London has not reduced pollution in Bromley, the largest borough.

The zone, which charges some motorists £12.50-a-day to use their vehicles in the city, was expanded to cover the entirety of Greater London last year.

A recent report found no overall decrease in NO2 levels since the scheme's implementation in August 2023.

This contrasts with City Hall's claims of a 22% reduction in emissions.

The scheme has faced protests and vandalism, with critics arguing it disproportionately affects low-income residents.
