The Ukrainian desire to fight the Russian invasion is not driven by Zelenskyy or "elites" or anyone in the West. It's driven by regular people who understand that Russia is evil, and that Russia has been trying to reincorporate Ukraine since the collapse of the Soviet Union.
When the Russians advanced towards Kyiv they were met with heavy resistance from the same people that Putin thought, foolishly, would welcome his army with open arms.
It's not my job to figure out a "pathway to victory." That is the job of the Ukrainian armed forces, and their allies. If the people want to defend themselves, then they will continue to do so regardless of a "pathway to victory."
It's not as if Ukraine intends to march on Moscow lol.
As to your point about grabbing people and sending them to the front lines, I would answer that by saying that Ukraine is in an existential fight, and that requires some extraordinary measures. Do you think that literally every single person is going to be on board with, and willing to, fight? It is war after all. That doesn't take away from the overall sentiment within Ukraine, if some people decide they'd rather try to avoid service.
And as far as "skimming the cream from aid" - you'll have to provide some sources here. Most of the aid Ukraine gets is in the form of munitions. So...
I will continue to post about Ukraine despite the Russian bots and useful idiots here in America who seem to be searching this app for every single Ukraine post to comment on.
Plus, it helps me get my blocked accounts number up.

We should be able to produce LNG in Alaska **WITHOUT** "help" from sanctioned Russian energy companies. But in Trump 2.0, the opportunity for corruption and graft is simply impossible to pass up.
US energy company execs have resigned in disgust as the Trump family is caught secretly expediting the funneling of $25 billion from a sanctioned Russian energy giant in exchange for allowing Russians to obtain a natural gas project in Alaska.
According to investigations by The New York Times and Financial Times, Russia's Novatek allegedly concealed its financial involvement in the American project through a UAE-linked intermediary.
Gentry Beach, a longtime Trump ally and close friend of Donald Trump Jr., signed an agreement with Novatek to pursue natural gas development in Alaska. Reuters documented the arrangement in February.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin discussed this cooperation on the Alaska energy project with Trump's representatives, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, during negotiations involving Russia and Ukraine.
The controversy deepened when Polar Train LNG's CEO, Joel Riddle, raised concerns about concealed Russian financing and possible sanctions violations. He departed in September, followed by other senior executives.
The Financial Times also described discussions about a potential arrangement under which Novatek would provide technology for the Alaska project in exchange for sanctions relief benefiting its Arctic LNG 2 development in Siberia.
According to The New York Times, Riddle and two other departing executives warned the Trump administration about the Russian financing and urged officials to investigate.
The White House maintains that the project was mentioned only briefly and that no detailed discussions took place. There is no established evidence that Kushner or Witkoff knew about the allegedly concealed financing. Polar Train LNG denies wrongdoing.
The central question is how a sanctioned Russian energy company became involved in a major American energy venture while Putin was discussing potential economic cooperation with Trump's representatives and a longtime Trump family associate was pursuing a separate agreement with the same Russian company.
Selling Alaska to the Russians or selling Ukraine to the Russians - to the Trump family it's all the same.

@Bartaway Yep. When he's no longer at the table, I'll believe that Russia is serious about a "deal." Until then? His purpose is closer to that of a clown, than a serious negotiator for peace.
This guy Dmitriev cracks me up.
You know, according to some of the best independent reporting in Russia, the Kremlin views him as a complete asshole that nobody likes. Putin sends him to the negotiations with Witkoff because it's like distracting a child with a shiny object. He has zero influence over what decisions are made by Putin and his inner circle.
Having said that, Dmitriev is a skilled propagandist, and an excellent salesman. He speaks the language of right wing populism very well. Just like his good friend Elon Musk, you can find him frequently reposting stuff from right wing slop aggregators like Nick Sortor, Eric Daugherty, etc.
Dmitriev has the audacity to speak about warmongers, meanwhile, the man he works for has overseen the deadliest, bloodiest war in Europe since WWII. And for what? For Russian history? So that Putin can put back together the pieces of the Soviet Union, which broke apart under the weight of Russia's own corruption and incompetence?
This shit is hollow. We can see right through it.
Elon exposes the LIES OF WARMONGERS: That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell.
Honesty & realistic solutions are required for peace๐๏ธ
Elon talks about "elites" profiting from the war in Ukraine. The irony of that statement is incredible.
What he doesn't mention, either due to his ignorance, or something more sinister, is that Putin's army is mostly made up of young men from the poorest + most rural parts of Russia. From regions in the south, and far east. The types of places where many folks dont have proper indoor plumbing. In order to keep the war machine running, Putin has emptied prisons, and even taken men from Russia's ally, North Korea.
The wealthy families living in Moscow don't worry about their sons. The oligarchs who support Putin never have to worry that a family member will be killed in the name of this "special military operation." And yet, the most elite of all elite people, Elon Musk, worth over a trillion dollars, has the audacity to lecture about the plight of the common man. The least he could do is get his fucking facts straight.
