Gov website says 3 weeks for visa application outside U.K. but it’s been over 4 weeks since I had my interview and handed my docs in at the embassy. How can I track it further ?

@kimwright741 @RoyalMailHelp @HM_Passport Best thing to do is re apply for those birth certificates asap and send them in again. Put in a claim to royalmail for the replacement cost once you’ve got your passport sorted. Don’t wait around for RM to find the lost post.

@JanineGreenASB @HM_Passport Go to the gov website and report passport as lost. Then ring the contact centre and let them know you’ve reported it lost and to add an alert to application

@Henriettaah1990 @HM_Passport If you don’t have a British passport before your child was born then status may need to go via grandparents. If you do have British passports issued prior to your kids birth then all you need to do is provide your passport number

@TanithArchibald @HM_Passport Yes you need to write a letter requesting documents returned or contact customer services I think? They destroy unclaimed documents after 12 months.
