Every year, I share this video of French caretakers who take sand from Omaha Beach in Normandy, and scrub them into the letters to give them the gold coloring.

They do this for all 9,386 US soldiers who died.

France also gave us this land as American soil. #MemorialDayWeekend

@Sassafrass_84 Church and brunch. Sometimes my dad would make us omelettes instead of going out. We'd walk in the woods with the dogs and climb trees or cross the creek on downed trees. Or we'd go out on an area lake with our old boat and waterski/picnic with family friends in the summer.

@janvbear @braves2430 We don't add red beans... cut green beans, carrots, and/or corn. Also serve it over wide egg noodles rather than bread. Good stuff.
