Whenever I say anything about work being (or not being) fun, it does not matter who I’m talking to, invariably they will feel the need to “remind me” that “work is work” and it “isn’t always fun.” Why is it so offensive to want to enjoy our 9-5’s? 🧐
@Glassident Maybe our definitions of fun are just a bit more encompassing than the standard meaning. It doesn’t mean I expect every minute of work to be as “fun” as a Lake Michigan bonfire w friends, but can still be interesting/challenging/energizing! ;)
@RickDeVos Parents in Midland, MI got sucked into this same rumor earlier this year and it became a whole thing. Hit national news when the superintendent had to clear it up. https://t.co/fwVAWL0Qol
@jessirklein listening to You’ll Grow Out Of It and lol-ing about your Miraval trip. I went last year and it was almost word-for-word the same experience. Except I did the tightrope instead of the Quantum Leap. ;)
@kateRlawrence Teaching, coaching, position that leads group activities, uhhh own real estate, create things, idk but I definitely feel you on this. Haha
@meyerbw This is something I have thought a lot about. I’m not here to prove anything w how many hours I can work. But, traditionally, “part time” never equated to being seen as a strategic (“serious” 🧐) business role.
