The irony is that prosperity often reveals whether a man truly loved GOD or merely needed HIM.
Israel cried out passionately in the wilderness, but once they entered abundance, many forgot the LORD. This is why GOD repeatedly warned Israel:
“Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God…” (Deuteronomy 8:11)
If moving to America reduced your prayer life, America did not become your god; comfort did. America simply exposed what your prayer life was built upon.
The highest form of prayer is not, “GOD, give me.”
The highest form of prayer is, “GOD, I want YOU.”
A man who has discovered GOD will still pray when every earthly need has been met, because prayer is not sustained by desperation alone; it is sustained by love.
It is unfortunate that many think otherwise.
i honestly can’t wrap my head around it. if God put this much order into the smallest parts of creation, what makes you think He would leave you completely on your own?
We aren’t begging her to crash out. We are begging her to stay in a scene and have a conversation and confront her issues to the people she has them with on camera and not on twitter or the confessionals. #RHOA
He played Daenerys's mercenary lover for three episodes, then walked off the biggest show on television. The recast is the version people remember. The better story comes later.
Ed Skrein left Game of Thrones after season 3. The press said he chose to headline The Transporter Refueled, the 2015 reboot built to make him the next Jason Statham. It pulled $16M domestic, killed a franchise that had run since 2002, and ended his shot at leading man before it started.
So he went the other way and became a villain for hire. Ajax in Deadpool. Zapan in Alita. Atticus Noble across two Rebel Moon films. Always the threat, rarely the lead, never out of work.
Then in 2017 Lionsgate cast him as Major Ben Daimio in the Hellboy reboot. He signed on, then learned the character is Japanese-American in the source comics. He stepped down. In writing. Handed the part back so it could be cast correctly, and Daniel Dae Kim took it.
John Cho, Riz Ahmed, Ava DuVernay, and George Takei publicly thanked him for it. Daniel Dae Kim said he remained indebted to him for his strength of character.
The joke is that he fumbled a hit show for a movie no one saw. The thing he's actually known for in Hollywood is being one of the only white actors who ever gave back a role that wasn't written for him. One of those choices reads a lot better eight years later than any opening weekend.
Can we normalize worshiping God in every season of life, not just when things are falling apart? God deserves our praise in the good times just as much as He does in the difficult ones.
I have a fundamental mistrust of any church that uses background stirring music during sermons. They're attempting to hijack an emotional pathway to convince you of the spirituality of the sermon. True Godly spirit doesn't require constant musical support to reach you. If it doesn't, chances are it's contrived.
She covered every single aspect, she was thoroughly articulate and the context was clear.
That’s why the intellectual dishonesty is irking me.
Do you lot think we’re stupid or sumn?😂
No, she went viral over an outfit in 2024. The convo about her was regarding her style as a WAG. She had been attending games prior and was barely known but her status catapulted after she wore an outfit she styled herself - luck. His team didn’t “prop” her into fame.
Lewis Hamilton donated over £20 million last year to the Red Cross and other various charities as well as well fully funding STEM education for disadvantaged British children via Mission 44.
That was just last year. I'm sure like you, it's not necessary he publicly note every charitable donation for people to decry or praise.
A brief search would have shown this.
