@EquityLiteracy Thanks for the reply! Is it still worth sharing, or are the literacy principles more helpful? I’m glad we still looked at it because it frames the work as my responsibility, esp as a White person. Folks are wrestling with their own discomfort which can be a good thing.
@EquityLiteracy : I’m curious about the 10 commitments of equity literate educators —how you came up with it, where we can find more info about each point. Our staff read each of the points out loud at PD yesterday and now there are some good thoughts and questions!
@Taralson@MicrosoftFlip Joey, you are amazing and have done so much to champion student voice in education! I know so many teachers who used Flipgrid and now Flip. Well done!! #fsh03
I don't know who needs to hear this (me), but your work doesn't have to be revolutionary in order to make a difference, and even if it helps one person, it is absolutely worth it.
@BethMooreLPM Same narrator, that’s why they are both amazing to listen to. She does so many different characters and personalities so well, which both books have.
I love @Pink, Target Field, and my husband for the birthday gift!!! I definitely cried, screamed, danced, and cheered for a Rock Star who is f***ing perfect.
@Due_East_Equity I just made the decision to not read a book I had been looking forward to reading…it’s just not for me right now. Releasing myself from the “shoulds.”
When we “lose it” over seemingly small things, it’s not about the present event. It’s our body going into fight or flight because it remembers the past.
On this day, we are thankful for the little white dot just below Saturn's rings. That's us! (You look great, btw,.) Seen from a billion miles away, Earth shines bright. Happy Thanksgiving, friends. We're glad you're here.
