This site is fucking cooked
@thun@racetotheshore Haven’t really seen this either. It’s quite common to have day and evening guests however, where the latter usually join after dinner. It’s really stingy. Also, have absolutely seen weddings where couples were invited, but the partner wasn’t invited to dinner so had to join later
@karxjoon@BATPlNK Been living in Korea now for a couple of years. Met this French expat. Legit the most racist, homophobic, sexist guy I have ever met. I had no idea these people actually exist. He had the audacity to tell me that he unironically thought Korea was very racist towards white people
@Seanzqbf@toonzguy I’m not American so maybe I’ve missed a good episode or a good bit, but has it really ever been? Never seen anything of SNL that even made me chuckle let alone laugh
@Erinma_2809 I have no idea about China. Have been there, but not enough to make any sweeping statements. Have lived in Korea for about 5 years now and although a complete lack of body odor is indeed not true, compared to my country (the Netherlands) people absolutely have less body odor here
@DavidBedwell People wanting you to stay in a perpetual hell solely for their sake is what’s selfish to me. I absolutely understand the devastation that suicide brings. Some people simply weren’t made for this world though.
@TaroTheCerelean Last year switched back to pc. The sheer volume of games, a massive catalog that doesn’t box you into a generation is amazing. Also, playing shooters with kb+m is better. But it does come with technical hiccups. If you’re not willing to deal with that. Consoles are indeed better.
@miguelflea@ToomuchAustin@crotchner2 YES! Why the hell do so many Americans mount their tv so fucking high? So many of them are almost touching the ceiling. There’s no way that’s a comfy watch

Doug Stanhope had a great bit about this. “He’s just drunk up there.” “I’m not driving a bus motherfucker, why do you care?!”
@qquinnsworth The parts about consumer culture and hyper materialism are very recognizable here in Korea too. Big and expensive cars. Clothes and accessories from expensive brand names. And a ton of one-upmanship and showing off.
