After lots of westerly winds me and @SamPrettyman_94 walked the coast on @bardseyobs and bumped into this 'American' (rubescens) BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT! First record for Wales and what a way to bring up my 300th species seen in the UK @RareBirdAlertUK
My evening dog walk yesterday on Hayling Island took a turn for the better when this Bonaparte’s Gull turned up in the growing feeding flock offshore. An extremely unexpected find!
1st winter Caspian Gull on Hayling today with a very striking tail pattern! Also a few pictures from the last month or so including the Black Brant and adult Little Gull. I have decided to start a blog, so more details there - https://t.co/FzCQtgXlVu

@LeifBersweden Hi Leif, this event looks to be sold out now in-surprisingly but I’d love to come and grab a signed copy or two of the book even if I can’t attend the talk, is this possible?
Yellow-browed Warbler at gilkicker this morning! Heard calling and seen twice briefly but was elusive. Stomach dropped when I heard it, a great patch tick!
Has been fairly good birding at Gilkicker the past week with finches on the move including Siskin, Bambling and Redpoll as well as Skylarks, Grey and Pied Wagtails, a Rock Pipit today with fem Pintail and Brent’s over the sea. Epic morning skies too
Swift sp. through Gilkicker this morning getting harrased by House Martins as it drifted east, only seen against the sky in bright sun so difficult to judge, would appriciate any comments as it seems to show some interesting features @TimsBirding@BirdGuides@RareBirdAlertUK
Birds still moving through Gilkicker with Meadow Pipits, Tree Pipits, Grey Wagtails and close to 10,000 hirundines this week! Chiffchaffs and Blackcaps in good numbers and the first Brent Geese, Wigeon and Teal through as well as a patch tick Cattle Egret last week
A morning of Hurindines at Gilkicker with 2000+ birds in the early hours with a mixture of Yellow Wagtails, Grey Wagtails and Meadow Pipits mixed in. Also a single Spot Fly, 6 Wheatear, good numbers of Blackcap and the first two Stonechat of the autumn
