Our brave officers confronted a man they believed to be a terrorist, who refused to show his hands, who was violent, and who continued to pose a clear threat. Using only their training, courage and tasers, they detained him while he continued to try to attack and stab them. This took true courage.
@BoozerArab Southampton away in Jan 2012 - think there were just shy of 300 of us there and everyone got free drinks and pies because the game was moved to a Tuesday at late notice.
Won 2-0 … nugent had them on strings
@CreativeDeduct@LBC@BenKentish Parents either give them “pocket money” or they work. In the UK you’re only studying for 32-36 weeks of the year at university so I worked when I was at home and that funded my spending. Many have jobs whilst at university for 10-15 hours per week to fund partying etc.
@CreativeDeduct@LBC@BenKentish As a Dane you may not know this but in the UK, student loans aren’t large enough to allow for spending on anything other than rent to live in the city you’re studying in- in many cases it doesn’t even cover the full cost of rent. The man on LBC is creating a false narrative
When “Baz” came in, they decided to focus on red ball cricket because the limited overs sides were in a good place.

@_kieranbl@szgreeno We only really backed him because he was a local lad. Did a bit against the bottom 10 in the championship but was never our first choice winger
