@KRey42@Leic_hospital An example of why missed appts are not always the patients' fault. and why @RishiSunak is not considering the full facts when saying charge patients for missed appts.
Your GP practice has been working hard to ensure you get the care you need. Please be patient when contacting your practice. Practice staff are there to help you and are doing their best. #YouAndYourGPPractice
GP surgeries know that a small proportion of appointments will be missed so they overbook accordingly and GPs have enough experience that they can do this pretty accurately.
@NHSELRCCG @NHSLeicester @west_lei_ccg@NHSELRCCG@aswilliams5
97% of patients have turned up on time, celebrate that. This is lazy patient bashing, consider the problems patients may have.
£0.54m, this is based on £30 per GP appointment. But General practice is not funded on a fee per appointment basis but per capita based on the number of registered patients. Salary costs and overheads don’t change because some appointments are cancelled.

@MedicalOakham This old chestnut keeps on doing the rounds, a lazy case of patient blaming. 98% attendance is extraordinarily successful, @MedicalOakham and particularly by retweeting @HWRutland, as the patient champion, do themselves a disservice by this lazy patient blaming.
@melissamarch Some excellent questioning from councillors and public just so disappointing that UHL/CCG representatives failed to answer so many questions. Let’s hope when we see the written response all questions are fully answered.
Virgin Care have been given a seat on a local Integrated Care System.
Private health firms should be barred from designing local health care provision.
We want a public NHS.
RT to get the message out.
@CllrPhilKing@leicslive Exactly no report and the issues not spelled out in the meeting, esp that proposals may still change to fit funding envelope. Same with hydrotherapy, proposal accepted unanimously but the could not identify where these community hydro pools are? Or how must investment needed
@CllrPhilKing@leicslive Tuesday’s meeting was a good news show but the requirement for extra funding is in the DMBC. In the event that the additional funding is not forthcoming or not allocated in full, then the scope of the additional requirements will be reviewed to ensure the budget is not exceeded.
Chair the meeting says '3 years at least' will be given to the trial. Births at St Mary's dropped following the consultation - the propagation of a risk narrative during the consultation?
@carolhopkinson3 @rmlabour @meltontimes@savestmarysbc@SONHSLeics Apart from Letters by Jon Ashworth Cllr Kitterick and @CllrPhilKing & @CllrPhilKing question at meeting & social media activity there was little activity fro MPs or councillors, it was left to campaigners.
