Hello! It's been a very long time since I posted on this account. My art account @sayomi_draws is getting a bit cluttered with personal stuff so I'm going to make this a more personal page.

I'm fully aware that not going to and presenting at more conferences during the MPhil worked against me. But how was I supposed to find the money or time when I was already paying my fees myself and had to work and study part-time? (Never mind the crushing depression I suffered)

Important thread. I was told off for not going to more conferences but my university refused to help with funding. I only got half my costs for going to Nancy (where I presented as the only delegate without a PhD!) and trying to get that was like pulling teeth.

Universities still favour students with more money as they're the ones who can afford to go and network across the country a few times a year or more. Self-funded or poorer students are basically told 'well sorry, there's no funding but we still expect you to do this'
