I hope Charles Rwomushana reflects on his current ordeal. The people who detained him are not the "Kyagulanyi gang" he constantly attacks. For years, he has dismissed the struggle for human rights, belittled NUP members, and called Robert Kyagulanyi a hooligan. He is now learning the hard way who actually threatens people's freedom in Uganda.
God forbid, but have you ever considered that if Museveni passes away, the family might withhold the announcement? They may fear that immediate news of his death would trigger widespread public celebrations, potentially threatening national security. This aligns with why his son frequently refers to their family as 'Bachwezi'; it seems like an attempt to frame his eventual passing not as a death, but as a mysterious disappearance, mirroring the myth of the Bachwezi.
Reflecting on what will happen after his passing, his family expects a direct transition of power from father to son. Everything is likely to continue exactly as it has been, simply because the public won't have any concrete information about the president's death.
@JoelSsenyonyi Mr. Muhoozi has created far too many unnecessary enemies, not only among civilians but also within the institutional forces. But as surely as day follows night, things will not stay the way they are forever.
The banyankole has a proverb, etahurira erigatsa empango.
