Thinking of our dear friend Jack Layton today.
Jack’s positive attitude, compassion & integrity showed us that better is possible.
I have met few politicians with his energy & ability to relate to everyone.
He inspired us then, and motivates us now.
With love, hope and optimism…
I’m deeply honoured to have the support of four extraordinary municipal leaders who are doing the hard, day-to-day work of building more just and livable communities.
Alison Gu, Debbie King, Alex Norris, and Teale Phelps Bondaroff know their communities deeply and are united by a commitment to sustainability, equity, affordability, and building cities where everyone can thrive.
Their leadership on the frontlines keeps me grounded and I'm grateful for their trust as we fight for people in communities big and small, across the country.
Big ideas are how we win.
Our campaign’s record fundraising, growing membership, and momentum across Canada prove what we’ve always known: people are hungry for bold, transformative solutions.
Branchez-vous au débat à la direction du NPD.
Nous serons cinq à présenter notre vision pour l’avenir de notre parti. J’y exposerai mon plan pour rebâtir, renouer des liens partout au pays et recommencer à gagner pour les gens.

The NDP comeback starts now.
We're building people power and growing the party in every region of the country — through organizing, trusting our base, and having the courage to propose solutions as big as the crises we face.
My remarks from the all-candidates Q&A hosted by the Calgary Confederation EDA.
Other candidates talk about taxing the ultra-rich. Rob agrees, but he goes further.
D’autres candidats et candidates parlent de taxer les ultra-riches. Rob est d’accord avec cela, mais il va plus loin.
New Democrats are delivering real wins for people in provinces across the country. We need to work together to build on those victories, not undermine them. By working together, we can deliver even more.
New Democrats have a real opportunity. To rebuild, to grow, and to shape a forward-looking economy that works for everyone.
We know we don’t have to accept the world as it is.
Canadians are counting on us. We owe it to them to get more of us elected so we can deliver for them.
The NDP can repeat the past approach that brought us to a historic low, or choose an unmistakably bold and courageous path forward.
Our campaign has proven that this vision is popular and can win. Our comeback has already begun.
The world feels uncertain. More people are falling further behind.
It's a critical time for our party and our country. To deliver for the people who are counting on us, we need to win more seats. I’ve proven I can take our shared values, reach beyond our base, and deliver wins
Heartbreaking and enraging. Either the federal government steps up with an actual systemic solution – including public or worker ownership – or we’ll be reading these headlines and watching communities gutted for years to come.

👏We applaud 👏@HMcPhersonNDP for introducing Bill C-259, the Fair Representation Act, taking on employer-dominated “company unions” and standing up for real collective bargaining.
Organizing works! This is a win for public pressure, and a message about the moral clarity Canadians want from politics right now.
Now we need legislation to ban all Canadian companies from contracting with ICE or otherwise supporting Trump's kidnapping and deportation machine. And Parliament must pass @JennyKwanBC's bill to close the U.S. arms export loophole – so that no Canadian armoured vehicles, weapons, or equipment end up in the hands of ICE to brutalize people.

Solidarity with @psac_afpc members who are standing up and fighting back against Carney’s callous cuts.
We're in a moment of economic emergency: austerity is the worst possible response. We shouldn't be attacking good jobs and essential public services, we should be expanding them to protect Canadians from the many shocks still to come.
It has been two years since Hind Rajab was killed. 5 years old. Begging for help. Trapped in a car, surrounded by death, while the world watched. Her voice still echoes in a global call for peace and accountability for Palestinian children killed in Gaza.
