the infrastructure in the uk has gone to absolute shit - i spent the last 2 weeks in amsterdam, on time, cheap. today i got my first train back in england Preston -> Manchester, left with a delay (unknown amount just says ‘delayed’) cost £12 (with a rail card) for a 38min journey

update: they cancelled it. in amsterdam we travelled 45mins out the city, on trams, metros and buses, NEVER cancelled €36 unlimited for 7 days!? we have to fix the system.

@northernassist tickets from Preston to Nottingham have been £3.80 since i’ve been going down to see my boyfriend, they are now starting at £16.90 with the majority of tickets now at £44? this is super upsetting, and as a student this significantly increases the cost of travel?
