$20B in volume is impressive, but the acceleration is what really stands out. Going from a full month to process $2B in January to clearing that in a single day shows how quickly adoption is scaling. While many were focused on narratives, the product kept shipping, and the numbers are now reflecting that. 25M+ swaps and growing demand across chains is a strong signal that simplifying the user experience works. 🚀
NEAR Intents just crossed $20B in all-time volume.
And it got there fast. The first $10B took until January. The second $10B took four months. The line isn't rising, it's bending.
One day last week cleared over $2B in cross-chain swaps. In January, that was a full month of volume.
25M+ swaps, 70+ assets, any chain to any chain, nothing to sign up for. It quietly turned into one of the busiest settlement layers in crypto while everyone argued about L2s.
Twenty billion, and the curve's going vertical.
This is what chain abstraction should feel like, simple, seamless, and invisible to the user. One wallet, one account, any chain. Eliminating the need for bridging and network switching is a massive UX improvement and a big step toward onboarding the next wave of users. Excited to try it out. 🚀👏

Mando shares the story of how he was struck by the product evolution of Near and got so bullish he messaged @ilblackdragon saying he bought a big bag.
"I was at Miami with @CryptoMichNL. He told me about Near. I looked into it and was like, this thing is the truth."
"Then I used @near_intents."
"Swap any coin to any chain, privately, fast, low fees. One of the best products in crypto since Hyperliquid."

@rektmando The funny thing is that privacy used to be one of crypto's original promises, yet most on-chain activity today is more transparent than traditional finance. Seeing actual usage grow around what NEAR is building feels like crypto coming full circle
NEAR released something during a bear market which solved one of crypto's main problems - privacy
swap pretty much any coin to any chain - privately

even most perp dex metrics are trending down
Arthur Hayes says Near Protocol has the potential to grow 20x by 2027, spot Bitcoin ETFs have logged outflows for ten consecutive trading days, and other news.

What stands out to me is that NEAR isn’t treating privacy as a separate ecosystem anymore it’s making it a native feature of how people already move assets across chains.
The biggest takeaway wasn't even private payments; it was finally getting real account compartmentalization on-chain. In traditional finance, separating funds and strategies is normal. On-chain, everything is usually connected by a public trail.
If Confidential Intents and Chain Signatures can bring that level of privacy and operational security without forcing users onto a new chain or wallet, that's a meaningful step toward making crypto usable for businesses, payroll, AI agents, and everyday payments.
What I find interesting about NEAR is that a lot of the things people are hyped about today weren’t built overnight. They’ve been working on this direction for a while, even when most of the market wasn’t really paying attention.
A lot of chains made crypto feel more complicated over time. NEAR seemed to focus more on reducing friction, with things like chain abstraction and intents making the experience smoother for normal users. Now with AI agents becoming a bigger conversation, that same infrastructure suddenly makes even more sense.
That’s probably why the whole AI narrative around NEAR feels more genuine to me. It doesn’t come across like a last-minute pivot to follow hype, but more like the ecosystem naturally grew into where the industry is heading.

This is exactly why NEAR feels different right now. It’s not just one narrative like AI, privacy, or intents on its own, it’s how all of these pieces are starting to connect into one thesis. FEEs, ZEC intents, AI privacy, IronClaw, and native DeFi without bridges all point to a chain that’s building real infrastructure instead of just chasing the next trend.
Also, much respect to @elliot_braem sir, he’s clearly doing great work and helping make this direction feel even more real and connected.

Really like this. The APY is solid, but the real value here is the chain coverage and how easy you’ve made the whole experience. Moving stablecoins across multiple ecosystems usually creates unnecessary friction, so having one-click access with no extra docs and support across chains is exactly the kind of UX DeFi needs. Great work, @rhea_finance .
