"You don't weaponize someone's personal history of being a victim of abuse against them – and then shift gears and gaslight everyone about the situation – unless you, yourself, have an abusive personality." said Don Kissick, the Libertarian candidate.

Today I rode a portion of the @american_trail relay out of @EnjoyOxfordOH. @America250
I carried the Liberty baton, with a copy of the Declaration of Independence inside. I picked that baton on purpose. Personal liberty is at the heart of how I want to serve.

For the first time in 8 years, Ohio will have a new governor at the start of 2027. What did the candidates on your ballot say about cooperation with ICE?

Once again, I am flattered my opponents are following our campaign so actively that they are co-opting our top platform planks...
...but we were talking about ALPRs well before Saturday, Oct. 17.
Maybe Dr. Acton has been too distracted with dodging debates to stay timely.
Busy weekend ahead. Friday, Oct 16, I'll be doing multiple interviews in Columbus.
Then, headed to South Lebanon for the Christians for Liberty Conference and Jeremy Todd's event in Bellevue, Kentucky.
I hope I will see you!

Amy Acton, call your office.
Banning the press from your events, not allowing filming or recording at your events and refusing to debate ain’t Youngstown Tough.

Rejecting Issue 9 and supporting Issue 8: Issue 9 dilutes district power, retains citywide coalitions. Issue 8 ensures direct accountability, strengthens local representation.
In the November 3, 2026 election, we have two charter amendments on the ballot: Issue 8 and Issue 9. While both aim to reform the city council, Issue 9 is a sneaky way the current power structure is trying to dilute district power and retain their own. Let’s break it down.
Issue 8 gets rid of citywide voting for individual district council seats, setting up nine geographically elected representatives who are directly accountable to their district voters. This is all about strengthening local accountability.
Issue 9, on the other hand, keeps the same number of seats but mixes things up. It introduces district-only voting for nine seats while keeping citywide elections for four additional seats. This is a tricky one because it keeps the at-large seats, which historically have been bankrolled by rich and powerful interests. The concern is that Issue 9 is just a way to retain power by keeping citywide electoral coalitions.
