@rbarbosa91 Still do quite a few in kiddies, selected cases (no obese, no retrocaecal, etc). I do an ultrasound to identify the caecum, and a small incision when marked. An Alexix wound retractor helps a lot, maybe more than Goelet….

@teachmesurgery In some places emergency ERCP is nonexistent. Open chole + duoedenotomy + sphinteroplasty + CBD stone removal…it works nicely and still saves lives.

@MISIRG1 @amendozazuchini Sorry…don’t like this approach. One should always remove the mesoapendix. Small neoplasia can happen, and if you left all the mesoapendix inside is a big problem at staging which force you to reoperate while sometimes it is not necessary. I use bipolar to coagulate it.
