Tonight’s Wave of Light marks the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week.
Our colleagues at both Musgrove Park and @YeovilHospital paused at 7pm to light a candle, and remember all the little lives lost too soon. 💙💜 #BLAW2022
It’s nearly the weekend, and it’s set to be a hot one ☀️
We're expecting healthcare services to be busier than they've ever been. So we’re asking local communities to use our NHS in Somerset, sensibly.
Remember to look after yourselves, and look out for each other 💙
Following a rise in the number of patients with COVID-19 we're taking the difficult decision that from today we're asking all patients, visitors and colleagues to wear a face mask inside all of our NHS buildings, including clinical areas and non-clinical areas such as corridors.
To round off #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek, we asked community mental health nurse Sarah to share a 'day in the life' on #InternationalNursesDay2022 yesterday - giving an insight into her role.

We are proud to be a diverse trust, with over 80 nationalities making up our one team at Somerset FT.
This #OverseasNHSWorkersDay we want to say thank you to all of our overseas colleagues, who have chosen to live and work in Somerset, caring for people across our county 💙
What a great evening. Congratulations to all those nominated, shortlisted and to the winners. Also many thanks to all those behind the scenes that made it possible tonight - a lot of work, but a great result. Thank you.
Our penultimate #HSJAward of the evening for Mental Health Trust of the Year, in partnership with @hempsonslegal, goes to…@SomersetFT. The judges highlighted this as an exemplary entry evidencing true partnership in action - well done to everybody involved! #HSJAwards
Our Infection Prevention & Control team has been centre stage over the past 18 months - guiding colleagues, patients and visitors in preventing the spread of viruses like noro, flu and COVID-19.
The team was awarded a Somerset Star for their outstanding support. Thank you 👏⭐️
To mark the end of Baby Loss Awareness Week, our maternity colleagues paused at 7pm, to wave a light in memory of all the babies that have died too soon. #WaveOfLight2021
Today we welcomed The Earl and Countess of Wessex to the @BathandWest, one of Somerset’s large COVID-19 vaccination centres.
Their Royal Highnesses met key colleagues and volunteers working on the programme, as well as people receiving their vaccines.

#COVID19Vaccination started today at Somerset's new vaccination centre at @TauntonRacing. It was brilliant to see so many people from across the county come to get their vaccine 👏

NHS staff, volunteers and public sector colleagues are all doing an incredible job to deliver the largest vaccination programme in our history.
#HelpUsHelpYou - wait for that call, attend appointments at exactly the time you’re asked to and follow the guidance to save lives.
Feedback like this really makes all the hard work worth it!
It has been a truly humbling experience for us all. Thank you to everyone across #Somerset who has turned up so far for your vaccination 👍
