PCSO Criminal Investigations Division has made an arrest in connection with a homicide that occurred on March 10, 2004. The victim, Curtis Simpson of McAlmont, was found on Boyd Road in North Little Rock. The suspect was arrested May 27, 2026, and is being held at the PCRDF.
At 4am on a Monday in April 2016, someone in full SWAT gear broke into a Texas church with a hammer and waited.
When fitness instructor Missy Bevers arrived alone in the dark to set up her morning class, she walked straight into them. Her students found her dead thirty minutes later.
Ten years on, that figure has never been identified.
Bevers, 45, was a mother of three who d*ed of puncture wounds to her head and chest.
A hammer was found near her body alongside other tools. Police believe her wounds were consistent with tools the suspect had been carrying throughout the building.
The surveillance footage became one of the most widely shared pieces of true crime video on the internet.
The figure wore a POLICE-marked vest, black helmet, and black gloves, and walked with a distinctive gait, feet turned outward, more prominently on the right foot.
Police confirmed the gear was not specific to any branch of law enforcement.
Nothing was stolen. The suspect left behind Bevers' purse, iPad, and wedding ring.
Police now believe she was specifically targeted and that the scene was staged to look like a burglary gone wrong.
A vehicle believed to be a 2010-2012 Nissan Altima was captured on camera nearby, driving slowly with its lights turning on and off before the mu*der. It was never traced.
Ten years later, more than 3,000 tips have been received. No arrests have been made. No suspects have been ruled out.
