BREAKING: HELL YES! House Judiciary Democrats launch a targeted probe into the sham charges that Jeanine Pirro brought against former Olympian David Hearn for his nonexistent Reflecting Pool vandalism.

The bill is coming due for MAGA corruption...

“How did this debacle happen? Why was Mr. Hearn charged with committing a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison when the government knew he was innocent?" Congressman Jamie Raskin, the top Democrat on the committee, wrote in a letter to Pirro and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum.

In it, he demanded that they hand over the communications between their offices and with the White House that pertain to the prosecution, which was ultimately dropped. Specifically, Democrats want to see the "evidence" that Pirro's office presented to the grand jury.

"Did the U.S. Department of the Interior (DOI) deliberately mislead prosecutors to cover up a ‘botched’ renovation by a company awarded a dubious $15 million insider no-bid contract?” Raskin wrote.

The answer to that question is, of course, yes. It was clear from day one to everyone not in the MAGA cult that the targeting of Hearn was a desperate attempt by Trump to manufacture evidence for his lie that the Reflecting Pool's disgusting green color and deteriorating lining were the result of "leftist vandals." In reality, the debacle was the natural result of handing out sweetheart deals to political cronies.

“Recent filings show that Ms. Pirro’s team of prosecutors was perfectly aware of Mr. Hearn’s likely innocence before they charged him with a felony. Indeed, a ‘Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool Damage Assessment’ dated two days before Mr. Hearn’s indictment, shows systemic failure and peeling of the liner around the area where Mr. Hearn’s alleged vandalism occurred,” Raskin wrote.

Pirro pursued the prosecution like a good little fascist lapdog but eventually ran into a brick wall called objective reality. Since there was zero evidence to support the case, there was zero chance she could win it. Her office ultimately dropped the charges and admitted in a filing that "hasty and botched work” was the cause of the damage. That admission, in turn, caused Trump to fly off the handle on her.

“The conclusion seems inescapable that at least one, if not both, of you have misled the American public about the evidence and used it to corrupt and weaponize our justice system against an innocent 67-year-old American citizen," stated Raskin.

The letter is also demanding information on the Interior Department's clearly corrupt decisonmaking process.

“Interior officials wrote to the contractor as early as June 11 — more than a week before Mr. Hearn’s arrest — complaining that the pool liner was already peeling but did not turn over this key email to prosecutors until after Mr. Hearn was indicted," wrote Raskin, who went on to accuse Burgum of having "dutifully parroted President Trump’s delusional ravings."

“Did President Trump pressure or influence either Department to retaliate against and scapegoat an American citizen?” Raskin asked.

“At a minimum, it appears that members of the Trump Administration were ready and willing to imprison an innocent American for a decade in a desperate effort to soothe an ex-landlord’s wounded ego about a terrible paint job and wasteful contract," he added.

These kinds of probes are exactly what Republicans fear most heading into the midterm elections. Once Democrats take control of Congress, Raskin will obtain subpoena powers, allowing him to exert the full force of the law to turn over every rock and uncover every crime.
