Every time I'm in a new Ed space, I find "my person"... and the CASIE IB training was no exception! I absolutely loved learning with Melissa in our Language and Literature Cat 2 training. We did the biggest hug at the end... And I promised to write (text...I promised to text!)
It's been taxing juggling different hats and tasks recently, but I am so proud of the @MariettaGAhs ELA PLC chair team! We're asking the hard questions & focusing on teacher clarity... All to ensure that students are learning the lessons we think we're teaching. Bravo!
I created coach's playlists to give coaches a one-page doc with the most important info on topics like questioning, listening, checklists, goals, playbooks, and so on. Here's a link to all of them https://t.co/zkytuD26hv
Principals: as @DrBradJohnson says so eloquently, “Take care of the staff, so they can take care of the students.”If you’re not their biggest advocate, who will be? @HSSD
One of my favorite things to ask kids is "Are you stuck? Or are you thinking?"
I do this because it gives them agency in whether or not I support them. Sometimes, kids just need extra time to think--and if we intervene too soon, we diminish their agency.
What a week! ELA PLC Chairs doing the clarity work with learning progressions to plan out mini lessons before they facilitate their PLC meetings. I'm so proud of the trust we've built in each other. #EnglishisLIT@MHSAP_Cain
This is a @lpijanowski Appreciation tweet!! So thankful to have gotten to learn from you for 3 whole years. As I coach my teachers, I pull so many things you've taught me out of my toolbox! 🎉🎉🎉
As teachers, we must generate evidence that makes learning and thinking visible. This allows for feedback and plan for “where to go next”. Try this idea: Question Formulation Technique – Inclusive Teaching @JMUCoE @VisibleLearning #AVL2022 https://t.co/Z2XV0Q5OmT
