@VP@POTUS “Reproductive health care” is Orwellian Newspeak for aborting the lives of the unborn. VP Harris, your seeming ethical blindness means I’ll never be able to vote for you.
@KamalaHarris But if a child has been conceived within your body, that child is not your body any more and deserves protection. And I am not MAGA or extremist, I’m just someone who believes that how we treat the vulnerable and defenseless is an important measure of us.
@middlecasey@TheAlanNoble Those babies have got to grow up and get jobs so they can pay for your Social Security, people, so quit traumatizing them with your theatrics on planes.
@FredFredSanders When I was learning Spanish, a native speaker friend, at my request, corrected me on such a sentence. “¡Subjuntivo!” I exclaimed as I realized my error. She said (in Spanish), “You know what it is called. I know when it is right to say it.” So your intuitive recognition is good.
@FredFredSanders The notion of a paper beginning with an intro is not expressed as indicating (by indicative) a reality, but extracted in thought and “sub-joined” (by subjunctive) to the notion making a judgment on it.
@Metalsandman999 @489flint @testing521 It was a dialogue with, as I recall, a liberal Anglican or skeptic, and both aspects of the nature and justice of hell were discussed.
@TrentRushSports Really felt like, hope it’s true, guys were playing for team and country. In the long slog of MLB, can feel like guys are playing for their next contract or to keep their job. Gotta respect that, but gotta wish there was more often the feeling of playing for their teammates.
@TrentRushSports I see both of them leaving the WBC just burning to be in high-stakes games this fall and building up their Angels teammates to push hard all season toward the same goal.
@Mepaynl I’ve enjoyed this in the WBC. But after a 162-game season, it doesn’t seem fair not to give a multi-game chance for the better team to advance.
