Came across a really informative guide for clinicians and Muslim patients by Dr. Maqbool Al Balushi re how to time medications whilst fasting in Ramadan. (ofc don’t fast if you are medically exempt). I hope this is helpful and may Allah accept it from us ✨

BT came back to be 1.1ng/ml - higher than normal range for him with HF + he has got respiratory tract infection (which led to rapid reduction in renal clearance at the same time and caused pt to rapidly develop adverse effects)
Witnessed first digoxin toxicity patient - elderly with reduced appetite, headache (where he has taken pcm for it), confusion, and claimed to have visual disturbances despite not having yellow-greenish vision, HR <60, irregular heartbeat o/e with raised creatinine
Although I can do the electronic bp measurement but really wanted to familiarise with manual bp taking as it tends to be more accurate. Any advice from anyone in terms of measuring bp manually?
though had the practice of measuring manual bp in 3rd yr of uni but hardly get the chance to do it in person since. Currently having more practices on patients under the supervision of a lovely nurse in my practice. Still quite woobly about getting accurate bp reading
@ASPhaRxmacy I tried to book it online to test it out but it also said that I’m currently not eligible to book through this service. Maybe worth calling 119 and see what they say?
Reaching another milestone in life - finally getting onto the GPhC register after 5 years! Grateful for everyone who has supported and inspired me throughout this journey to being a pharmacist! 🥰🥰
Also couldn’t express my gratitude enough for having my employers who had so much faith in me - offered me my dream job in GP and granted me my working visa before I get my results!! This is by far the best gift I’ve received this year🥰
