Given how many boards most VCs sit on, it's surprising how little formal training/education is available for those looking to become highly effective in their role as board members.
In my experience, it's also true that most companies are terrible at executing on real exploration. They struggle to get experiments in front of customers due to policy, politics, or infrastructure challenges. Delivery matters, even when you're exploring.
