Justice for three Houston child sexual abuse survivors.

To protect these survivors, the DA’s Office will not release their names or identities.

Damien Deon Blevins, former pastor of Deep Water Ministries in Spring, Texas, victimized three teenagers. In 2010, Blevins targeted a child who was among the church’s earliest members. Between May 2019 and May 2023, he sexually abused two more children: one teen he assaulted in the church, the second survivor testified Blevins sexually assaulted and threatened her at his home. Prosecutors presented a compelling case, outlining how the former pastor gained access to his teenaged victims through his ministry.

The jury sentenced Blevins to 35 years in prison without the possibility of parole.

This is the first time the HCDAO has had the evidence to try a defendant for Continuous Trafficking of a Child since the law went into effect in 2011. 

Justice for these three children, now adults, who bravely shared their stories and asked for help.
