my family and i try our best to recycle as much as we can in order to avoid throwing out reusable items. this takes the most energy but is still a way to keep biodegradable & recyclable objects out of the landfills!!! @franklinlorax#apeswaste
you should always choose to drink out of reusable water bottles instead of plastic ones because a plastic bottle can take up to 1,000 years to completely degrade. by drinking out of reusable water bottles it will reduce the amount of plastic used! #apeswaste@franklinlorax
All weather occurs in the troposphere which is the layer we live in. The seasons we experience are caused by the tilt of the Earths axis. I’m sick of this 30 degree weather and can’t wait till it’s summer weather!! @franklinlorax#apesair
I always make sure to unplug chords that are not being used around my house. I try to unplug chords as much as possible to save energy, because burning coal for electricity increases air pollutants! #apesenergy@franklinlorax
After doing some of the labs I realized that keeping thing plugged into the outlets uses a lot of energy and can cost a lot of money so I have started to unplug the outlets if they don’t need to be used so I save more energy #apesenergy@franklinlorax
Many things in homes nowadays are made up of wood so it is important that we use sustainable logging methods so we can keep using wood in our homes. #apesland@franklinlorax
My brother is in college living in a residence hall, which over 90% of the freshman class in Madison live in! These include resources, support and convenient services! This is a very good way to save space in Madison and hold many students! @franklinlorax#apespop
Recycling is a simple but effective way to reduce your carbon footprint. Many Americans don’t recycle nearly as much as they could. @franklinlorax#apespop
Everyone in my family is a k-strategist! My mom had only one kid at a time caring about the quality of each of us, where as a r-strategist would have had many youngs and not worried about their quality! shoutout to my mama for caring and nurturing us! @franklinlorax#apeseco
George and Rudy may look very different in size, but they are both the same species! Due to random mutations and breeding, George’s genetic composition gave him short legs, while Rudy’s gave him long legs #apeseco@franklinlorax
Most people in Franklin get their water from Lake Michigan. In my case, I get my water like most people in the U.S., from groundwater. My house has a shared well dug underneath my backyard, which is where I get my water from. #apeswater@franklinlorax
To help save our waters I use a reusable water bottle. My water bottle is a gallon. Throughout the day I only drink out of this so it is reducing the amount of plastic that is being wasted and thrown away into our water streams.
