Maybe Iโm naive, but I really do think thereโs a lot of power in a ticket made up of pleasant happy people who donโt seem furious at huge numbers of Americans simply for existing,
Iโve never had anything but mad love and respect for Dave Grohl until now. This is so disappointing.
Also, for those who think constantly dogging her makes you a more legitimate music fan, youโre boring. Step off the high horse.
Dave Grohl rant was utterly moronic and counterproductive, as was the supportive in-stadium reaction.
1) Sheโs built her career on playing live (and, yes, making some ERRORS) even when it meant taking heat from critics. So the implication is bizarre.
2)I know sheโs โpop,โ but sheโs also a prolific songwriter whoโs long made honest music with real instruments. So sheโs neither a soulless pop act nor the โenemyโ of a traditional rock band. Even if you have that middle school โpop is lameโ mentality, someone like Taylor should be exempt. Sheโs โone of the good ones.โ
3) Her Eras Tour is a music-first, cardio-intensive masterclass that inherently warrants respect from fellow performers. It has also ignited a new level of interest in a live stadium music experience across so different demographics, thereby making true โrock concertsโ even more appealing. Bands that want to play long, elaborate, high-energy shows with MUSIC as the centerpiece benefit from the success of The Eras Tour.
