📌@monica@monica_geingos @FirstLadyNam3 explained that @LabYetu chose Kigali because of #Rwanda's leadership model, she added that:

📌 H. E President Paul #Kagame leads by example, matching his words with his actions.

📌It's not just about the individual leader, but the institutions and people he has empowered, which matters for succession.

📌She stressed that a leader's real legacy is ensuring the institutions they build outlast them.

📌#Kigali also offered an existing ecosystem, such as the Africa School of Governance, that Leadership Lab wanted to be part of.

The inaugural Africa Mindset Reset Forum has officially come to a close in Kigali. Convened by the @ASG_Africa, the #MindsetReset2026 Forum brought together more than 6,000 registered participants from 74 countries, including over 1,000 who attended in person. Across two days, Kigali became a convening point for conversations on African leadership, governance, human capital, institutions and the continent’s capacity to shape its own future. For Ms Monica Geingos, the development of young African human capital is the catalyst behind this work.

The urgency of developing a strong bench of ethical and purpose-driven young Africans is what drives the work of the @LabYetu, informs the work of the @One_Namibia, compelled her to champion the work at the @EJSCenter and inspired her service to @Kepler_College.

Today, at the inaugural Africa Mindset Reset Forum, convened by the @ASG_Africa in Kigali, the conversation interrogated what it will take for Africa to move from ambition to sustained development, anchored in the analytical framework of Meta-Africanism, which builds on and extends the intellectual project of Pan-Africanism.

More than 6,000 people from 74 countries registered for the forum, with more than 1,000 participants attending in person in Kigali. Notably, 80% of those in the room were young and emerging leaders.

Ms Monica Geingos, in her capacity as Founder and Chairperson of @LabYetu, joined Day 1 of the Forum for an intergenerational dialogue on moving from ambition to institutions and execution.

Ms Monica Geingos, Founder and Chairperson of @LabYetu, has arrived for the Africa Mindset Reset Forum, convened under the theme “From Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism.”

The convening, hosted by the @ASG_Africa, co-founded by H.E. Paul Kagame, President of Rwanda, and H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn, former Prime Minister of Ethiopia, brings together African leaders, policymakers, academics and emerging voices to interrogate the ideas and institutions shaping the continent’s future.

Ahead of the Africa Mindset Reset Forum, hosted by @ASG_Africa, Ms Monica Geingos and ASG President Mr Francis Gatare addressed content creators from 16 African countries at today’s Creator-thon.

Speaking to content creators Ms Geingos reflected on the changing nature of influence in an increasingly digital society. She noted that the digital leap, increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence, brings both opportunity and difficult ethical questions. Content creators often sit in an uncomfortable space between the influence they hold and the financial resources they may lack.

[African School of Governance (ASG) @ASG_Africa]

Today, we begin the conversations that will challenge perspectives and shape Africa’s future as we move from Pan-Africanism to Meta-Africanism.

The room is filling up, and the conversation is about to begin. Are you in the room as

@ASG_Africa @fcmljallow1 @KalondoMonica @MeneWamkele @RCBrwanda @RwandaEvents @_AfricanUnion @AccraReset @aladinstitute @Influenceraf_ @LabYetu Africa’s progress depends on leaders who turn vision into strong, effective institutions. #MindsetReset2026 is a timely platform for advancing accountable leadership and meaningful development.

Founder and Chairperson of @LabYetu, today addressed the second Master of Public Administration (MPA) programme cohort of @ASG_Africa. The cohort consists of 67 participants from 14 African countries, reflecting the programme’s distinctly Pan-African character and the breadth of perspectives in the classroom.

Co-founded by H.E. Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, and H.E. Hailemariam Desalegn, former Prime Minister of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, ASG is building a Pan-African institution for public leadership. Its MPA programme connects students with African scholars, policymakers, practitioners and public leaders, while grounding their learning in the realities of the continent.

Today, during a visit to MASS Design Studio, Ms Monica Geingos engaged with fellows of the Africa Design Centre (ADC) in a conversation led by Mr Christian Benimana, Board Director of the @LabYetu.

The ADC is helping to build the next generation of African architects and designers by responding to social and economic challenges and creating spaces that are safe and dignified. The ADC Fellowship is part of that ambition, creating a long-term platform for architectural excellence rooted in local knowledge, cultural context and sustainable design. The fellows shared some of the work they are undertaking, ranging from housing and maternal health spaces to water systems and biodiversity, illustrating the range of challenges that design is being called upon to address.

[African School of Governance (ASG) @ASG_Africa]

With the power to reach millions, African creators have a responsibility to tell Africa’s story in their own words.

More than 30 creators from 12 countries joined us at ASG for a Creatorthon ahead of #MindsetReset2026, exploring what that responsibility means in practice.

Joined by ASG President @Francis_Gatare and H.E. @KalondoMonica , Founder and Chairperson of @LabYetu and the 3rd First Lady of Namibia, they reflected on the social capital creators hold and how their influence can shape Africa’s future and the narratives that define it.

[Leadership Lab Yetu @LabYetu]

Through discussion, simulation and reflection, the inaugural Dr Hage G. Geingob Fellows spent Day 1 exploring what it means to govern through demographic transition and lead in an increasingly complex world.

[Ndaba Gaolathe @Ndaba_Gaolathe]

Dreams matter because they give us something worth working towards.

It was a delight welcoming the learners of Chadibe Primary School to the Office of the Vice President.

We spoke about ambition.
We spoke about discipline.
We spoke about honesty.
We spoke about the courage to keep going, even when others doubt us.

These values shape character and create the foundation for success.

The learners were encouraged not to let doubt determine how far they can go.

The dedication of Chadibe Primary School’s teachers was equally inspiring. Despite limited infrastructure and a shift system, the school continues to achieve strong results.

To the learners, keep dreaming, keep learning and keep showing up. The future is built one disciplined choice at a time.
