Last month, I was honored to deliver the commencement address for the 2026 graduating class in International Studies at the University of Michigan

I spoke about vision, uncertainty, and the strange reality that some of the most important decisions we make in life happen long before we fully understand where we are going.

In a world obsessed with performance, I wanted to remind students that ambiguity is sometimes the beginning of transformation.
