I'm deeply sorry to hear the painful news about Israeli-American hostage Omer Neutra H'YD. Nobody championed his plight more forcefully than his indefatigable
parents whom I had the privilege to meet and speak with in Chicago this year. We have all been fervently praying for him and the other hostages being ruthlessly held by Hamas since October 7th. May Omer's memory live on in our hearts, and may his family find some semblance of comfort.

Update:

The perpetrator has been arrested, with major charges including attempted kidnapping in the 2nd degree and endangering the welfare of a child.

Known to police, the perpetrator has allegedly been arrested over 30 times. He is under 30 years old and has also been arrested in past for criminal possession of a weapon.

What is wrong with our legal system? What is wrong with society? How is this possible?
