BREAKING: Republicans in West Virginia just voted to reject a bill that would make it illegal for 16-year-olds to get married. It also remains legal for adults of any age to have sex with a 16-year-old, and for married men to have sex with children under 16-years-old as long as a judge approves a marriage.

There have been marriages of 14-year-old children in the state over the past decade.

I'm tired of Republicans calling Democrats "groomers" when they are literally supporting adults of any age having sex with 16 year old children and in some cases even younger.

@BeschlossDC In 10th grade, the history teacher rolled a TV in on a cart for the class to watch this historic moment. We all watched as it exploded on live tv. She got visibly flustered & turned it off. It was only 2nd period, we just went to our next class and went on with our day. Horrible.
