In a world shaped by economic instability and climate crises, labor rights and social protection are still too often overlooked in G20 decision-making. Yet ensuring that every worker formal or informal has access to healthcare, a pension, and unemployment security is a matter of justice.
Member states must ratify and implement international labor standards, strengthen oversight mechanisms, and expand collective bargaining frameworks. In Africa, the establishment of universal social protection systems can no longer be delayed. This requires adequate funding, skill transfers, and concrete technical support, particularly in the context of post-COVID-19 recovery and climate adaptation.
Commitments must translate into tangible measures that meet the real needs of communities.

Before #negotiations, find your 'contract zone' - the place where outcomes overlap and the possibility of agreement exists. 3 positions matter: Ideal. Realistic. Fall-back.
