I didn’t think this story could get worse.
He attacked and stabbed people the day before; did I miss warnings about an armed man stabbing strangers in Brixton? Was it reported at all?

Who gets access to extra hours of early education? 🔎
Our research has found that wealthier families are able to access more funded hours than poorer families, meaning those would benefit most from extra provision are unable to access it.

‼️Security guards who protected British embassy staff in Afghanistan rounded up in the UK, arrested, locked up and told they will be deported 😱😱😱
This is beyond the pale, even for this government. Their assault on refugee protection must be stopped https://t.co/y7b7QIMwa5
While we learn that *every single river* in England is polluted, here is the River Limmat in Switzerland. It runs through the centre of the largest city, Zürich (population: 436,000).

“You have cut local services to the bone - and then you worry about antisocial behaviour?”
This #bbcqt audience member gives an excoriating appraisal of the government’s performance, saying she’s “staggered” at the gap between the audience and the panel

As an NEU member I will be rejecting the pay offer. Govt decision to fund just 0.5% of it is an attack on school budgets so I don't want it. They gave (a bit) with one hand now taking it away with the other. Children deserve top quality education not shrinking budgets.
16yr old girl in care, best grades in the country refused entry into a prestigious college because of her care background. The 18yr old care leaver struggling to get accommodation because of his care background. #changeiscoming make care experience a protected characteristic.
Racist, sexist and homophobic abuses of power have run rife in the Met Police - shattering trust and letting victims down.
The Home Secretary must immediately reassure the public that she will do what it takes to address these failings.
@TerryGalloway This should come to Full Council in Peterborough in June. Fingers crossed. As a corporate parent I have been very inspired by your campaign, keep up the great work.
3-4 yo provision needs to be viewed by the govt as education not just childcare. Many locked out. Huge issues of disadvantage gap & provider sustainability not fixed by the announcements.
Under the 30 hours policy, most of the poorest families are locked out of the entitlement to 15 extra hours at age 3-4.
This means the children who would benefit most from extra provision - those from low income or workless households - are unable to access it.
This is unfair.
As expected- poorer households receiving less funding from newly announced childcare support (bc fewer of these families will be eligible for the 30 hr offer) - locking many poorer children out of vital early education
