It gave me great pleasure to speak with members of Guilsfield and Llandrinio Cricket Club today. Such a wonderful grassroots group, run by people who adore their community and that really came across when we were speaking.
Labour councillor @BenGwalchmai has secured for Welshpool free wifi across the towns streets.
When one in five households in Welshpool do not have regular internet access this move will help bridge the digital divide and reduce data-poverty across the town.
Bendigedig Ben!
Apologies for any delays in responding to communications. I am dealing with a very sudden close family bereavement.
Many thanks for your patience at this time.
I am beyond humbled to have been elected MP for #MontgomeryshireandGlyndŵr.
A truly historic result – huge thanks to my endlessly supportive family, dedicated campaign team, and to voters for putting trust in me to bring change to our constituency.
The hard work begins today.
Thank you to everyone who has contacted me since my election.
I am continuing to get my office set up. I will update everyone soon on how best to contact me and when surgeries will be taking place.
For now please contact [email protected]
Tired after 14 years of Tory Chaos?
Angry they partied while we were in lockdown?
Angry at rising prices? Increased debt? Decreased international standing? Incompetent leadership?
So are we! And in Montgomeryshire and Glyndŵr, only a Labour vote can get rid of the Tories.
Out in Welshpool this past week meeting voters and exploring the lovely Powis Castle surrounded by nature.
It reminds me of the importance of protecting our environment, our ecology and ensuring a brighter future for our country.
@deselby01 @MontyLabour There you go again giving data from what is now an entirely different constituency and not taking into fact the 34% of voters from Labour leaning wards in Glyndŵr
When you go to the polls on July 4th, remember you need Photo ID.
Many believe this has been designed to disenfranchise young people.
I spoke to Rowan Hughes about this and it was great to hear his thoughts.
It was great talking to Rowan Hughes this week about the difficulties young people face after 14 years of Tory rule.
This has been our focus this week and frankly the first step to fixing the problems young people face - simply listen to them.
Campaign groups in Esclusham have fought tirelessly against the construction of a lithium battery plant in the area.
Watch @steve_witherden talk about his views on the plant and show his solidarity with local campaign groups.
You're going to see a lot of misleading campaign material sidestepping the fact we are a new constituency.
Montgomeryshire is joined with the 13 Labour-leaning wards of Glyndŵr.
If you want the Tories out, the only choice is Labour.
The best chance to beat the Tories in Monty and Glyndŵr is to vote Labour.
This is simply just the facts.
A vote for any other party is a vote for the Tories.
Labour are offering the best solutions, the best candidate and the best chance for real change.
Our Labour candidate is @Steve_Witherden, a teacher who understands the devastation of 14 years of Tory cuts and understands exactly what is required to reverse this damage once in power.

MyWelshpool is correct that the boundaries have changed.
But what does it mean?
It means the race is between Labour and the Tories.
The polling is clear. If you want the Tories out, Labour are the best choice.
Congratulations to Labour Councillor Dave France on becoming Deputy Mayor of Welshpool Town Council.
Dave was elected to the council in May of 2022 and has done a brilliant job representing the town.
He will do a fantastic job as Deputy Mayor.
Fancy ties aside it’s a shame this wasn’t community noted.
So let us clarify with some facts.
Tory inflation means most workers won’t see anywhere near £900 and those earning less than 26k will actually pay more in tax.
If you want a better economy, vote Labour.
