Fantastic hustings today at Welshpool livestock market organised by the FUW, NFU, and YFC Montgomeryshire.

Good to talk about preserving family farms and sustainability.

Interesting Plaid and Reform couldn’t be bothered to send local candidates. Very strange.

At yesterday’s hustings I got to highlight much of the amazing work Welsh Labour has already done.

But I also talked about the work still to do. The candidates from Gwynedd Maldwyn are community focused and will always put the people of the constituency first.

Finding a path toward sustainability, protecting our biodiversity and ensuring the economic security of family farms is vital for our rural economy. It was important to discuss this yesterday.

Oh also very shocking Plaid and Reform couldn’t be bothered to send local candidates.

And I think our Labour MP has done more for farmers in the constituency than any representative we’ve had in a very, very, long time.

The Two MS’s - former Tories.

Wales has always hated the Tories. Let’s not let them sneak back in under a different colour rosette.

This is a major issue and particularly prevalent in Gwynedd Maldwyn.

We need to make Wales more attractive for young folks. Labour have done a heck of a lot of good here tbf. Lower bus fees, 100,000 apprenticeships, 55,000 jobs for young people. Continued EMA,

an end to the Thatcherite neo-liberal economic model then your local Labour candidates are for you!

It was also fun hearing the Reform candidate deny the Ice Age existed - his justification that climate change wasn’t real. Very odd, very strange.

A main issue is the situation with Betsi Cadwaladr and Wrexham Maelor Hospital.

Great response yesterday in Porthmadog for Welsh Labour. Lots of enthusiasm for our local, community rooted candidates.

We then got to say a huge thank you to MS Joyce Watson for her 19 years of service to Wales in the Senedd.

It sucks that we still have to have these conversations. Ofc Rail Infrastructure should be devolved. What’s good for Scotland should be good for Wales.

Next up was Bersham Ironworks, the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution.

Here we discussed the new revolution we are facing - the AI revolution.

Steve also shared some fantastic military history from the site.
