Caia is a postdoc in the lab of Juan Mata and deals with mechanisms regulating mRNA translation in fission yeast and mysterious uORFs.

Michael was a Professor of Chemotherapy and had a long-standing interest in the interactions between chemotherapeutic drugs and DNA.
