Trailblazer. 👊

Started chatting in the stands last night with a guy asking who I was rooting for. Came back to watch the heats and figured ide tell him I’m actually crew chiefing the red 4 car.
Finally came back for the feature and had to tell him where to find more info on me and my team. He continues to tell me that he’s so curious because his daughter would be in heaven if she was there and heard about me doin what I do.
Long story short I think I just gained a few fans last night not even knowing what my little chat was going to lead to.
After always being oh so close, Drake Edwards is officially in the record books as a POWRi National Midget League feature winner at Southern Illinois Raceway!
Kale Drake came home second, with Cannon McIntosh third after an insane finish.
Take a bow, SIR!
I’m very thankful for all the things that I payed attention to throughout my years of racing that I never really understood at the time.
It’s all coming full circle now that I’m a crew chief and the dots are finally connecting for me.
All my friends are either getting married or pregnant while I’m booking last minute flights to Australia.
Tell me you’re the single friend without telling me you’re the single friend 😭
🍾 @kaylee11b is officially the first female driver to win Trans Am championships in two different classes, clinching the XGT title in 2025 and SGT in 2024!
At the BMV listening to a father explain to his son how he just enjoys a beer after work. He doesn’t get drunk every night because he’s a professional 😭
Same though 😂😂😂
Last night I was eating and chatting with a friend at the bar . A woman joined in that knew my friend. She walked away and came back and said to me “ a year ago today I saw you at the grocery store and told you I like ls your tattoo” (it says “ A life worth living”).
She goes onto tell me that this is the anniversary of her friend loosing her battle with depression. And shows me her wrist with the same saying that I have. She said the words touched her so much the day she saw me in the grocery store that she had to get it herself. The wilder part is it was all exactly a year apart.
I didn’t plan on being in the bar that late last night but we sat and talked about how these little reminders on our bodies help keep our heads right in hard times.
I truly believe she needed that extra reminder last night since it’s always been a hard day for her. And she said seeing me just made her really think of why she got it.
The world works in funny ways and everything really does happen for a reason.
