Duncan Trussell recorded this conversation with his mother while she was facing terminal cancer.
What you’re hearing isn’t scripted. It isn’t performed. It’s a son sitting with his dying mother trying to hold onto every word before the words run out.
And she, the one facing the end, is the one doing the comforting.
That is what makes these conversations so extraordinary. Not the wisdom itself, as profound as it is. But who it’s coming from. A woman who had every reason to be consumed by her own fear choosing instead to spend what little time remained helping her son understand how to live without her.
These recordings became the heart of The Midnight Gospel. And I always go back to watch it again.
They remain some of the most honest conversations about death, love and what it means to be human ever put on screen…
Kendrick Perkins on @lgndtlk on CJ Stroud:
“I’m not the one to sit up here & blame CJ, but he is the one that betted on himself, which I don’t mind that, actually rooting for him for that, but again I told you what I said last year: if he was on fire and I had a glass of water in my hand, I would start taking a sip.”
Back to back BRUTAL misses from Julian Sayin on Saturday night…
Connect on one of these for a TD and the Buckeyes leave Austin victorious

Riley Pettijohn and TJ Alford are the two best LB's on this roster and it's not even close. When someone else is taking snaps away from them, it does a disservice to their development and how high the ceiling is for this Ohio State defense.
Now, this is where experience comes in for Rogers, if Konsa did this to Bernardo, he will make sure they both go down together and cause a fight, the ref will have to stop the play and attend to them.
When you are playing a dirty team, you also need to be smart about it.
