I suggested to my wife that we go to the bar separately to relive our first date.
So I walked over to her and asked, "Hi, can I buy you a drink?"
She said, "Get lost, I'm not falling for that again!"
Saw a Midget carrying a big screen tv out of Walmart.
I went over to him and said, "Hey do you need any help with that Big Screen?"
He replied, "FUCK off ya PRICK.. It's an IPad."
Texas property taxes are 7th highest in the nation. It is criminal that people lose their homes because they can no longer afford the home they purchased…. not because they bought a home outside their budget but because the value of their home has increased based on someone’s opinion of value. Newsflash our homes are not worth $1 more than we paid for it. We are being taxed on Unrealized gains and it is costing us our homes.
Her cat kept disappearing every Sunday… so she finally followed him and yeah, not what she expected at all.
Turns out, this cat named Deacon would head out every Sunday morning and come back smelling like perfume. Naturally, she got curious and decided to see where he was going.
So one day, she followed him… and watched him casually walk straight into a church across the street.
No joke, he’d been doing this for weeks. The pastor said Deacon would just slip into the back, sit through the whole service like he belonged there, and honestly behave better than some people.
Eventually, everyone noticed him, and now he’s basically part of the Sunday routine.
It’s such a simple, random story, but that’s exactly why people loved it.
Sometimes the smallest, weirdest habits turn into something surprisingly wholesome.
Here are 7 fast-growing options I’d recommend if you want results without waiting decades:
Autumn Blaze Maple - strong growth (2–3+ ft/year) with great fall color
Paper Birch - clean look, ideal for cooler climates
Weeping Willow - one of the fastest growers (up to 6 ft/year)
Northern Red Oak - reliable, long-term shade tree
Northern Catalpa - large leaves, excellent shade coverage
Tuliptree - fast growth with unique blooms
Hackberry - tough, adaptable, and often overlooked

My boy Shredder is getting very old. He's nearly 19, and after being a fat boy most of his life, he's getting bony now. Has early stage kidney failure, and some dementia. He's not entirely "gone in the mind," but he gets confused a lot, and wants to be near me or on me all the time.
So he gets whatever he wants now. I bring him food wherever he is, on my bed, on the couch. He gets a heated blanket wherever he wants it. If he wants the food on my plate, then he gets to share it with me. As long as he eats that's what matters.
I love him and it's sorrowful to know he won't be around much longer. I'm gonna love him up until then.
