Our biggest challenge is how to highjack a political apparatus that is working exactly as it is intended which is to maintain the oppressive hierarchal systems that whitewash/glorify its parasitic relationship of the people through the tools of exploitation by any means necessary
For all the white allies, this is important. I've had this conversation especially in leftist spaces that are predominantly white and non-black leftist who tend to minimize and retaliate when called out for anti-blackness. You are welcome. https://t.co/GaHwausKCd
BNSF, the most lucrative rail company in the U.S., has agreed to union demands to offer 4 paid sick days to thousands of workers.
With this agreement, unions at 4 of the 5 biggest rail companies in the country have won paid sick leave this month, and they plan to keep pushing.
Don't forget your humanity, your need for rest, your need for play. You will need the energy to fight. You need the energy for strength, for resilence. You are valued, you are loved, you are important.
I have to remind myself of my humanity by checking out of social media every week and forcing myself to interact with the people and things that make my life worth living. Despite how this society is structured in capitalizing and removing the many instances and moments that make
that can fill my cup so that I can fight again for tomorrow. I suggest for those on the left who are constantly fighting for eachother, our human rights, our rights to exist/live, to allow ourself our humanity .
Haha. Remember those 24 accounts that voted at 3AM? Two of the last names are Hurtado (and match Janet’s address). Another matches someone that seems to be her 79 year old family member.
Those three (along w/21 others) decided to all vote for Hugo in quick succession at 3AM.
FIRST VOTE: 8/16/2021
LAST VOTE: 8/29/2021
110 votes for Hugo during two weeks, but 24 came in during a 25 min period at 3AM?? Come on, now.
There are 64 names on the petition that are linked to suspicious accounts.
Hugo’s DSA-LA endorsement is shady.
Need to be endorsed by 50 “members in good standing” to get DSA’s endorsement. Out of nowhere there were 24 votes that came in for Hugo in a 25 min period starting at 2:57AM. Each voted one minute after the last.🙄
Janet’s fake accounts, huh?
The Executive Committee stands in solidarity with DSA LA’s Mutual Aid Committee. Recently, the Mutual Aid Committee released a statement acknowledging the history of harm based on anti-Blackness in DSA LA and its continued impact on folks’ ability to organize in DSA LA.
