Let's be clear about what's happening. He installed an unelected "acting president" after capturing the last one.

He's now controlling that country's oil revenue in a U.S. bank account his own executive order shields from court oversight.

The New York Times already found "little clarity" on where any of that money is actually going, and historically HALF of Venezuela's oil revenue has been stolen before it even leaves the country.

Sound familiar? He did the same thing with over $1 trillion in "Qatar investment commitments" nobody can track or verify.

This isn't diplomacy. This is looting their country and ours while calling it stability, and delaying democracy indefinitely because an unelected leader who owes you everything is easier to control than one voters actually chose.

The U.S. Senate voted 49-47 Thursday to block a war powers resolution that would have required President Trump to end unauthorized U.S. military action against Iran.

The vote was largely along party lines. Republican Sen. Susan Collins of Maine joined Democrats in voting to advance the resolution, while Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania sided with Republicans to block it. Four Republican senators did not vote.

The vote came hours after the Republican-led House passed a similar measure 214-208, with four Republicans joining Democrats in directing Trump to halt hostilities unless authorized by Congress.

The House has passed a War Powers Resolution directing the President to terminate hostilities against Iran, 214-208. Congress already passed a similar one, but President Trump ignored it and renewed the war in full.

This war is illegal and disastrous, and must end.

The U.S. has paid companies $81 billion in tariff refunds so far this year.

In February the Supreme Court ruled that most of Trump’s tariffs were illegal, and the government paid out most tariff refunds after that ruling.

There is no requirement that companies pass those refunds on to the consumers, although they frequently passed tariff costs on to consumers.
