NDC Northwest Zonal Vice Chairman, Bakin Zuwo, has endorsed HE Atiku Abubakar’s plans to restore the fuel subsidy and reopen Nigeria’s borders.
He said: “As long as you are not among the oppressors, you must praise HE Atiku Abubakar. Even if the hypocrites refuse to praise you, I must praise you, Atiku.”
Bakin Zuwo said he supports Atiku’s plan to restore the fuel subsidy, arguing that President Tinubu’s removal of the subsidy has worsened economic hardship for Nigerians.
“Tinubu is killing us. He removed all subsidies, yet some people are campaigning for him to continue inflicting hardship on Nigerians.”
What would you rather prefer?
A: Grew economy by 400%, maintained stable forex rate, saved $20bn cash, reduced debt, all the while still paying subsidy.
B: Reduced economy by 50%, caused hyperinflation, increased our debt, increased forex rate by 100%, while removing subsidy.
A 1999 video where Obasanjo was telling them Atiku was the man running the whole thing. Does he think people won’t remember or find evidence that Atiku bought his form and sponsored his entire campaign?
Have you heard what is happening inside Tinubu's Presidency?
Are you even aware that someone is publicly claiming he paid ₦600 million just to be appointed to head a federal agency?
No, this is not a movie.
According to Prince Adeyemi, he paid ₦400 million upfront and was expected to pay another ₦200 million later.
But that's not even the biggest part of the story.
He says the real trouble started when he refused to part with 48 percent of a ₦24 billion take-off grant meant for the agency he was appointed to head.
Now, before anyone jumps to conclusions, these are his allegations. The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has denied any connection with the agency altogether.
And that is exactly where this story becomes unbelievable.
The Chief of Staff says the agency does not exist.
Prince Adeyemi says it does.
Not only that, he says it has over ₦1 billion in the Appropriation Act, over 300 approved staff by the head of service of the federation, and even accounts with the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Now tell me...
If the agency does not exist, who inserted its budget into the Appropriation Act?
Who approved over 300 staff?
Who processed the files?
Who opened the accounts?
Or are all these claims completely fabricated?
On the other hand, if the agency truly exists, then why is the Presidency denying its existence?
Can you see why this matter cannot simply be dismissed?
Somebody is not telling Nigerians the truth.
Personally, I am less interested in the drama than in the documents.
Produce the appointment letter.
Produce the budget.
Produce the payroll.
Produce the CBN records.
Produce the evidence of the alleged payments, if they exist.
Let Nigerians see who is lying.
Because if a man can wake up one morning and falsely accuse the Chief of Staff to the President of collecting ₦600 million and demanding a share of ₦24 billion, then that is a national scandal.
And if he is telling the truth...
Then that is an even bigger national scandal.
Either way, this matter deserves much more than a press statement.
Nigerians deserve answers.
Atiku’s Visit to Amaechi: The Mark of a True Unifier
By AbdulAziz Na'ibi Abubakar
Following his resounding victory at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential primary, His Excellency Atiku Abubakar has once again demonstrated why he is the ultimate unifier Nigeria needs. Today, true to his acceptance pledge, the newly minted ADC flagbearer personally visited his closest rival in the primaries, the former Governor of Rivers State, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, at his Abuja residence.
This visit goes beyond mere political courtesy; it is a profound testament to Atiku's unwavering commitment to party unity, healing, and inclusivity. Rather than bask in the euphoria of his victory, Atiku immediately reached out across the aisle to pull together the immense political weight and experience of Amaechi.
Nigeria is currently drifting under the heavy burden of severe economic hardship and deep-seated insecurity imposed by President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC). Atiku understands that rescuing our great nation from this current despair requires a united front. By prioritizing reconciliation and inclusivity on day one, Atiku is building the formidable, national coalition necessary to challenge the ruling party.
Atiku’s proactive leadership proves he is ready to bridge divides, gather our finest hands, and lead the charge to rescue and rebuild Nigeria.
Debunking the Falsehoods and Blackmail of Kwankwasiyya Groups Regarding Atiku’s Contributions to the Development of the North and Nigeria
By Abdul-Aziz Na'ibi Abubakar
In an attempt to defend the political missteps of Rabiu Kwankwaso, who acted against the interests of Arewa and Nigeria by choosing to divide the opposition in 2027, pro-Kwankwasiyya groups are attempting to exploit the perceived naivety of the Gen Z generation. They have resorted to spreading falsehoods against Atiku Abubakar, questioning his contributions to the North.
Challenge accepted. Below are several key contributions of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar to the development of Arewa, both as a Vice President and as a private citizen.
Politics may involve sharp exchanges, but facts and history must not be overshadowed by campaign rhetoric. Atiku Abubakar has made tangible, verifiable contributions across the Northeast, Northwest, and North Central regions, impacts that continue to benefit our people long after his time in office.
Dear Rabiu Kwankwaso, no amount of blackmail can convince the people of Arewa to abandon their proud son, Atiku Abubakar, in favor of your political maneuvers. Allow me to respectfully set the record straight with concrete examples.
- Infrastructure Facilitation for the North
As Vice President (1999–2007), Atiku attracted and supported critical federal projects, particularly in his home region and throughout the North:
1. Yola Airport: Upgraded to international status.
2. Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yola: Established to improve regional healthcare.
3. Power Infrastructure: Facilitated electricity transmission linking Gombe through Adamawa to Jalingo.
4. Road Networks: Facilitated numerous projects in Adamawa, including the Yola–Mubi road and the Ganye axis.
5. Northwest Development: During his administration, the Federal Government committed over ₦83 billion to projects across the Northwest zone.
6. Asphalt Road Construction: Secured the construction of roads from Yola to Mubi.
7. Connecting Rural Communities: Facilitated tarred roads from Jabbi-Lamba to Malabu and Belel.
8. Regional Connectivity: Secured road construction from Ganye to Toungo and Jamtari, as well as from Jada to Kojoli.
9. Bridge Construction: Built bridges along the Mayo-Belwa, Jada, and Ganye road axes.
10. Technical Education: Established the Federal Technical College, Watu, in Michika LGA.
11. Energy Logistics: Facilitated the laying of underground petroleum pipelines from Port Harcourt to the NNPC Depot in Yola.
12. Water Projects: Brought the CGC water project to his hometown, Jada.
13. Healthcare Access: Launched the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in Jada and Yola.
14. Telecommunications: Atiku was instrumental in bringing GSM mobile communication to Arewa and Nigeria at large
- Security:
Civilian JTF: In 2014, during the peak of the Boko Haram crisis, Atiku spent nearly ₦1 billion of his personal funds to help establish the Civilian JTF. These individuals were familiar with the local terrain and Boko Haram tactics, assisting security forces in reclaiming territory from terrorists.
- Education and Human Capital Revolution
Atiku’s most transformative legacy lies in education:
1. Foundational Schooling: Built four primary schools and the Government Science Secondary School in Jada.
2. Scholarship Foundations: Established a foundation for the less privileged in Jada and sponsors indigent students from every LGA in Adamawa State to attend university for free annually.
3. American University of Nigeria (AUN): Founded in Yola in 2005, this world-class institution is a beacon of excellence in the Northeast, creating hundreds of jobs and producing globally competitive graduates.
4. Northern Education Programme (NEP): Financed this initiative at Arewa House, which held Northern governors accountable through education summits, leading to doubled enrollment rates across multiple states.
5. Humanitarian Scholarships: Provided...
I don remember some facts:
4: He told churches to take back their country in 2023
5: He declared last election as religious election. Trying to pin Christians against muslims.
I will do my very best to ensure that Arewa communities know these three facts about Peter Obi before the 2027 general elections.
1. Peter Obi is a major shareholder and former chairman of International Breweries (a major investor in alcoholic beverages).
2. He betrayed Atiku Abubakar (a son of Arewa).
3. He once chased our Northern people out of Anambra State when he was governor.
Our people need to know that Peter Obi is likely to invest our money in beer companies (Subhanallah). Our people also need to know that PO is a betrayer, and they must be reminded of how he chased us out of his state
RMK and Abba Kabir Yusuf, Kwankwasiyya Playing the Long Game.
MY CONSPIRACY
I am of the opinion that what Nigerians are currently witnessing within the Kwankwasiyya movement and opposition is not confusion, and certainly not coincidence. It may well be a carefully designed long game, one that stretches beyond 2027 and perhaps explains the recent strange moves of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Abba Kabir Yusuf.
My conspiracy theory is that Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and President Bola Tinubu may have a quiet understanding. Kwankwaso helps Tinubu survive the 2027 election by weakening any truly formidable opposition coalition, and in return Tinubu indirectly helps preserve Kwankwaso’s political future ahead of 2031. As wild as this may sound, recent developments make the theory difficult to ignore.
Take the case of Abba Kabir Yusuf. Many people interpreted his movement toward the APC establishment as surrender or political compromise. I do not see it that way. I see it as strategic insurance. Kwankwasiyya knows that before 2027, the ruling party will likely use every available institutional weapon to suffocate opposition structures across the country. The safest way to survive such onslaught is to quietly create accommodation within the system.
But Abba’s role appears deeper than mere survival. He is currently helping to dismantle the influence of some of the strongest Kano APC names, especially those who betrayed Kwankwaso early and ran into APC under the guise of consensus politics. Men like Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Senator Kawu Sumaila, Madaki, Abdulmumin Jibrin Kofa, and others are steadily being neutralized, while staunch Kwankwasiyya loyalists are being positioned in their place.
What this means is Kano APC is gradually being infiltrated and reshaped into a structure more loyal to Kwankwaso than to Tinubu, and I believe Tinubu approves this, Then there is Kwankwaso himself.
Since 2024, he had been invited repeatedly to join the opposition coalition. He showed little or no enthusiasm. He stayed away while others built bridges, held meetings, made sacrifices, and sold the coalition to Nigerians.
Suddenly, when the coalition began to gain national momentum and became a serious threat, Kwankwaso entered and in less than four weeks, the coalition was divided and its southern pathway fractured. Even more curious was Kwankwaso’s sudden willingness to deputize Peter Obi, the same Peter Obi he had repeatedly acted politically superior to in 2022 and 2023.
I believe Kwankwaso is too seasoned to make such a dramatic shift without a deeper calculation. I strongly believe he knows Peter Obi cannot win the 2027 election under the present national arithmetic, but Obi remains a powerful southern force, but with very limited northern transferability. Kwankwaso knows this. Yet he appears willing to encourage that route. Why?
Because 2027 may not be about winning for Kwankwaso, it may be about positioning, by aligning with Obi, sharing a likely defeat, and appearing as Obi’s northern ally, Kwankwaso gains emotional entry into the East and broadens his national acceptability for 2031.
In that scenario, Abba secures Kano from within, Kwankwaso weakens the coalition from within, Tinubu gets a divided opposition in 2027, and Kwankwaso emerges from the rubble with a stronger map for the next cycle, and with Tinubu’s indirect backing.
It sounds like conspiracy.
But in Nigerian politics, the most unbelievable theories often turn out to be the real script.
Let’s face reality, If Peter Obi moves to NDC, his chances of becoming President end immediately.
2023 is not 2027. The Northern bulk vote Tinubu enjoyed in 2023 isn’t there anymore. If Obi runs under NDC, he and Tinubu will divide the South, while Atiku sweeps the North. That’s not strategy — that’s handing Atiku a gift and re-electing Tinubu by default.
The North is watching. They’ve already labeled Kwankwaso a traitor for working against Northern interest. Obi will get the same tag if he fractures the opposition.
This coalition drama has shown how naive some of us are about election math. We can’t bully or blackmail everyone into stepping down for Obi. Elections aren’t won on Twitter.
The only realistic ticket that beats Tinubu is 7m + 6m = 13m: Atiku/Obi. Anything else is self-sabotage.
It takes alliance to win, not just popularity. Obi has a cleaner path to Aso Rock as VP first, then President, than as a lone runner who loses everything. Clinging to “it’s the South’s turn” only helps Tinubu.
Remember 2011. The North lost its turn after Yar’Adua died because Jonathan contested. That left them with an 8-year deficit. They won’t repeat that mistake. They’d back Atiku before backing a Southern candidate who ignores and disrespects them. Not out of hate for Obi, but because of that bitter experience.
So ask yourself: Who’s really marginalized? Has “Southern President, Northern President” helped ordinary Nigerians?
If Obi joins NDC, he’s kicking the ball into his own net. Game over.
An Open Letter to Atiku Abubakar
Your Excellency,@atiku
I write this with a heavy heart, not out of malice, but out of deep reflection and concern.
I must be honest, many of us hold you responsible for certain political missteps that have shaped the current reality. In 2019, you made a difficult call. You stood firmly by a man many believed did not truly deserve that level of trust and loyalty. In doing so, you went against key sentiments, particularly from the Southeast political establishment, all in the name of unity and belief in a shared vision.
But over time, that decision has proven costly.
The same individual you helped elevate to national relevance has, on more than one occasion, turned against you. This is not speculation, it is a pattern. Twice now, he has chosen to stand in opposition to your ambitions, fully aware of the political stakes and history you share. A man you brought closer, a man you trusted with strategy, vision, and access, yet he continues to position himself against you at every critical moments.
Even after 2023 elections , you extended an olive branch. You reached out again, shared your plans, spoke about coalition-building, and emphasized the urgency of rescuing Nigeria from its current challenges. You sought unity, collaboration, and purpose.
Yet again, that trust was met with resistance, and ultimately, betrayal.
At some point, patterns must be acknowledged for what they are. Loyalty must be matched with loyalty. Trust must be guarded with wisdom.
Your Excellency, your strength has always been your large heart, your willingness to forgive, to accommodate, and to keep pushing forward despite setbacks. But as you look ahead, especially toward 2027, it is crucial that those around you are not just politically aligned, but genuinely committed to your cause and to the greater good of Nigeria.
Betrayal, when repeated, is no longer an accident, it becomes a character trait.
As you continue your political journey, I hope that clarity guides your decisions, and that sincere, trustworthy allies surround you. Nigeria needs leadership built on conviction, not compromise with inconsistency.
If it is the will of God, no obstacle, no sabotage, and no betrayal will stand in your way in 2027.
May your heart continue to attract those who are true, loyal, and aligned with your vision for a better Nigeria.
Yours sincerely,
A concerned observer
