Sydney Towle, who passed away yesterday, has likely touched your life. Every one of our community members is vital to raising awareness and moving us closer to finding a cure. We are honored to carry out our mission with each of you.
Syd did this from her platform that reached people around the world. She gave those who would never even hear about cholangiocarcinoma an inside look at what it looks like to live through a diagnosis and to treat every day as something unique and special. We are forever grateful to her for elevating all of our voices and reminding so many that they are not alone. We realize this is a difficult loss and, at the same time, are honored to shine a light on her legacy.
We invite you to share in the comments how Syd affected your life. We would like to remember her together. 💚
As a community, our hearts have been heavy since the passing of advocate and patient Sydney Towle. Syd had a large public following on social media and used her platform to share what life with cholangiocarcinoma was like. Her honesty, vulnerability, and kindness touched people around the world and educated many about what young adults with rare cancers face in their daily lives. Little Words Project, in partnership with Syd's family, has relaunched Syd's "Happy to Be Here" bracelet and added another bracelet with one of her signature uplifting phrases, "Keep Swimming." Little Words Project is generously donating $5 per bracelet and $10 for the set to CCF to further support patients and caregivers and help fund much-needed research.
We are grateful for this meaningful collaboration with the Little Words Project and the opportunity to help honor Syd's life and the positive impact Syd had on this community.
